M.P.T. Inc. began as a partnership operating from a garage in 1990. It was incorporated the next year. Initial services were electrical controls troubleshooting and PLC programming with panel design and build, and machine wiring. The first employee was hired in 1993. As the opportunities grew, it was necessary to move into larger facilities to service the growing customer base. A location with a 300 sq. ft. office space was found, with (coincidentally) an adjoining independent machine shop business. In 1996, the company purchased and moved to a location that was eight times larger than the old premises. The focus evolved from electrical controls systems design, to complete electrical and mechanical design projects.
The decision to invest in mechanical builds necessitated another increase in facility size and, in 1999, the company purchased its current location. The 16,000 sq. ft facility allowed MPT to bring its mechanical build operations under the same roof and expand its in-house resources.
PRODUCTS / SERVICES
MPT offers custom engineered manufacturing solutions to increase plant productivity. This includes all aspects of the project development; the design (both mechanical and electrical), the fabrication of frames and supports; the machining/tooling, integration of purchased and custom components, assembly, wiring, programming and process integration of the equipment. Since we manufacture each system according to the customer’s unique specifications, MPT does not have any set product lines, although developed technology is leveraged for a number of similar applications such as the ErgoFeeder.
